MS Mathematics

At Grace Christian Academy, our middle school mathematics program utilizes the A Beka math curriculum in grades six and seven. The grades six and seven program has a strong emphasis on algebraic thinking and problem solving skills while reviewing foundational concepts. The middle school mathematics program aims to prepare the sixth and seventh grade students for the rigors of algebra in eighth grade.

In eighth grade, our students use the Holt math curriculum.  Mathematics becomes more rigorous in eighth grade as students progress toward the advanced mathematics offered in GCA’s High School Program. Eighth grade students have a demanding course in Algebra which includes a survey of quadratics. This course both challenges the student and prepares them to excel in future classes.

The middle school curriculum is designed to foster mathematical skills to challenge the students and prepare them for high school.  All middle school students are placed on a path to take calculus in high school.
