Dear Parents:
We wish you good health and a closer walk with God for the coming year.
We are concerned about the coronavirus and how the travel plans of our students may place our student body at risk of infection. These are extreme measures, yet such measures should result in the peace of mind that our children are more secure.
- All classrooms will be disinfected with a nontoxic solution used for operating rooms and other sensitive areas.
- GCA will not reopen until Monday, February 3, however, teachers will be at school and can be contacted through the school office. This will allow for more thorough cleaning of classrooms and common spaces.
- All students who traveled through Hong Kong, Korea, Japan and any part of Mainland China are asked to not return to GCA until they have been symptom-free in Taiwan for two weeks. These students will have all of the academic opportunities as their peers. Teachers will keep in touch with students through email.
- All students with family members who have traveled through Hong Kong, Korea, Japan or parts of China and returned to Taiwan are asked to stay at home until they have been symptom-free for two weeks, from the start of their relative’s visit.
We have called a majority of our GCA families, however, if we missed calling you, we ask that you comply with the above precautions. If you will not be at school on February 3, or if you wish to stay at home beyond February 3 due to the virus, please keep the school office informed.
